About The Artwork
This is a surreal oil painting using titanium white, raw umber, ivory black--and also a small amount of burnt sienna. It's meant to symbolize the subconscious workings that go on behind the faces that we try to portray to the outside world, and how sometimes those unseen things can be ancient and monstrous. It was varnished with Gamvar non yellowing varnish--and comes ready to hang with wire installed on the back, and the sides of the painting painted in raw umber.
