About The Artwork
Work in progress. I've been struggling with this one. Finally started and photographed the 1st version on November 14, 2015. It was to close to Thanksgiving and Christmas, I couldn't work on it. I looked at it for months and I went a different direction. I really dislike the drippy paint effect, but somehow it was appropriate for the next version. More time went by and I worked on it more. In a moment of frustration and despair I reworked the background. It didn't look good. No photo. I'm on the 4th version. It's darker and more disturbing. Closer to what I want to express. It's making me feel like crap. Underneath the tied up fabric is a photo of Alan Kurdi the little Syrian boy who drowned on 2 September 2015. 50% of net profit will got to UNICEF.

I love a good medium rare rib-eye (edit: to many happy cow videos on Facebook. I'm turning vegetarian.), garlic mash potatoes and a nice glass of red. But I'm not having it for dinner every night. Just like my art work, I'm not gonna do the same thing every day. I’m always exploring different types of media, styles and especially ideas to create unique works. That said I do have a certain aesthetic all my own. I put a lot of thought into my work, there is a deeper meaning and it's not all about creating eye candy. My art is for those who appreciate originality and don't buy into what's "trending." Life is Art p.s. Hummus is horrible, but I love that cucumber, mint, yogurt thing.
