Contemporary Black Bird Painting "Anything is possible" Painting

I've always been drawn to color. Bright, vivid, rich hues weave its way into my work and deeply informs my painting practice. I am enamored with the bold and subtle hues of nature: sunlight, shadows, water, sky, earth, stones, botanicals. These visuals from the natural world are woven delicately into everything I create. My creative process is very intuitive in the beginning. It's about experimenting, discovery and spontaneity. Those first marks are a 'spirit guide' and allow the painting to form organically. As the painting takes shape, I use the process of editing, adding and subtracting, pushing and pulling, until an image emerges. Sometimes there's a plan, but much of the time the subject evolves from abstraction.
