Leigh Sugden is an Artist based in Yorkshire, UK. A Graphic Designer and trained Illustrator, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Art & Design in ‘98 she concentrated on establishing herself within the design industry, successfully running her own business in the North. Her painting is intuitive, expressive and evolutionary; she is inspired by colour, landscapes, fashion, design, people, street art, textures and objects that summon innovation. Known for her love of colour, texture, & metallics, her art evokes emotions and a consciousness of contemporary luxury. Her focus is to create something striking, allowing the viewer to be consumed by her art, whilst also developing a painting that will enhance an interior space, achieving an ambience, right for their chosen room; that is paramount. Art should be accessible to all and therefore adaptable. She works in mixed media and acrylics, found materials, collage and merges typography into some of her series.
