In COMPOSITIONS (Endangered Species) Pregl applies (paints) the images of animals and plants threatened by extinction to canvas. He found the images on the Internet and then made a composition from them in a completely unrealistic way, following only the laws of painting, and then painted them onto canvas by hand. The images of animals and plants are iconic symbols of the actual ones, ironic still-lifes of the 21st century, offering a detached comment on ecology. (Petja Grafenauer)
