About The Artwork

“BoJo” is a portrait of the ex-PM’s dog Dilyn. While he was campaigning in 2019 for the Conservative majority victory in Parliament, Boris Johnson, on the day of the vote, took Dilyn in his arms and presented it as a sort of offering to the press photographers. It’s ironic that this sort of pugnacity and flamboyance was what led to his ultimate resignation, not because of “party-gate” alone, but all mixed together with the stew of his hypocrisy and nonchalance in regards to his intimates and their deviancies. It is so Royal Family of BoJo really. This small painting is painted on a canvas board, which is secured to wooden stretcher frames for stability.

I have an unquenchable need to see the workings of the world outside of the circumscribed confines of the art studio. This has led to many lives lived and many roads taken. despite the breadth of this experience, I am a figurative painter. For the past 12 years, I have been painting as a full-time artist in Paris, France.
