My work is dark but light (or visa versa) I usually start with a black canvas. I feel that is the natural progression of Things. Everything comes from darkness to be defined by our eyes as it touches light. This theory applies not only to objects and life but also to emotions and consciousness. I am interested in color, emotion, lighting, contrast, symbolism, iconography & pop culture. I feel an affinity with Edward Hopper, Giorgio de Chirico, Jeff Koons & Lari Pittman amongst others
