About The Artwork
I started this piece with no roadmap. I had some colors I bought for something else I had worked on, and I just started pouring them onto the canvas. I was in a bit of existential dread this day, I recall. When I first began painting, a few years ago, I always painted from a place of anxiety. The constant and rapid motions that I took on, was just a physical manifestation of trying to chase that anxiety away. It's been a while since I've come from that place so deeply, but this particular day I did. The piece came out quickly and all at once. If you wanted me to give you some deeper meaning, I can't. I was entranced. However, this was a direct translation to the existential implosion in my brain to this canvas.
