"The night has a thousand eyes and the day but one." The poem penned by Francis William Bourdillon graced Christian Dove Nicole's Pinterest feed one morning sparking an idea. One that she'd been processing for a while. A convergence of ideas had come together. Having recently viewed AI-rendered photos of angels described by the prophet Isaiah, Christian Dove Nicole had decided to marry the two concepts. The night has a thousand eyes - a thousand angels (aliens? stars?) watching close by - and the day has but one. But notice... both the night and the day have the same one. These companion paintings spark innovative ideas and deep questions around the overlapping of two realms, and reminds the viewer to find hope in the dark, knowing that the light that guides you by day is still there guiding you by night as well... with extra assistance.
