About The Artwork
Rembrandt's Christ In The Storm On The Sea Of Galilee is the direct inspiration of this painting. Yet, while Rembrandt paints an actual ship, sea and a group of people, among other differences, I paint only the "shadow" of the image; there are no actual recognizable figurative images, it is not an historical event, there are only parts of thing and references. I hope the viewer would feel a struggle of the sight and mind while trying to find something concrete to hang onto
