"Something told the wild geese It was time to go, Though the fields lay golden Something whispered, 'snow.' Leaves were green and stirring, Berries, luster-glossed, But beneath warm feathers Something cautioned, 'frost.' All the sagging orchards Steamed with amber spice, But each wild breast stiffened At remembered ice. Something told the wild geese It was time to fly, Summer sun was on their wings, Winter in their cry." Belgium
Antwerp (Belgium) born (1958) artist painter. Like wine, you like or don't like a piece of art whatever the year of make or signature. Passion does not need a label, just emotions. My paintings start with an idea which turns in to a virtual composition in my head. Then I try to translate all that on to my canvas by sketching contours, the rest I do while painting. Light and the play of light are the most important things in my work, even more so than colours.
