Inspiration Step into a realm where the boundaries of reality dissolve and the mysteries of the cosmos unfold. With this painting I dived into the captivating realm of wormholes, elusive pathways that defy scientific validation. Thought to be a structure occurring in space bridging long distances across time. Like ethereal portals through the fabric of space, wormholes beckon us to venture beyond the limitations of our understanding. With each layering of newspaper and paint I embarked on a journey to harness the essence of this hypothetical wonder, I was consumed by the process of building its multimedia surface. As the acrylic paints mingled and intermingled with the newspaper, they assumed a life of their own, cascading, oozing and layered, embracing the expansive space within the artwork. The newspaper and paints add depth and dimension, intensifying the painting's spatial presence. Space and time, an ever present theme that runs through my art initially thought about when observing Stonehenge and Stone circles in the UK. This harmonious multimedia collage painting has taken on a life of its own!
