The Bright Side Artwork

I was listening to an interview with scientists discussing climate and nature and one remark stuck with me: Imagine if, millions of years from now, beings after us were to dig deep into Earth’s crust to study its layers. Amongst the strata of soil and rock, they would encounter a distinct, vivid layer of non-decomposed plastic, a stark marker of human civilization. This thought often leads me to ponder what remnants we will leave behind on this planet. This piece tries to find a silver lining, a flash of beauty, in the remains. From the When Earth Calls series, where I explore my feelings on the complicated relationship between humans and our surroundings. Each piece in the series combines earthy elements such as wood and stones with man-made materials.
