Looking at the designs, graphics, collage, tempera, glazes, the oil paintings and digital works by Erminio Di Camillo, I was struck immediately by the multiplicity of languages "‹"‹and techniques, the variety and vitality of the signs and color. Everything appeared as the result of an application and a temperament marked by the needs and impulses of the moment, almost a hot and unstoppable creative flow. This sudden feeling, however, contrasted with the word, movement and tone calm and thoughtful considerations of the artist. Then, I had, as they say, a pause for reflection, and trying some reminiscence, part of my reading, I thought the theories of the philosopher of science Paul Feyerabend and the theoretical core of his main work, based on the belief that there is no "method" or "single rule" that is the basis for all planning activities, especially the artistic and cultural. Intelligent men do not allow themselves to be influenced by rules, established rules and "rational methods", but are possible and are ready to use mental and creative abilities means that, within a particular context, they prove to be the most suitable to achieve its end. At this point the work of Erminio Di Camillo has taken a clear and obvious meaning, in line with his daily task of brilliant and experienced media operator who, after practicing all the classic techniques of graphic art, has experienced in the arts , with an open mind and a deep sense of renewal, new methods and new materials. It was one of the first in Italy to use a "computer art", creating works of great complexity and impressive, appreciated by collectors and industry professionals. These applications, however, are not served to limit, or to dry up the talent and imaginative powers of the artist Pescara, but have been implemented and used to enhance the skills of man and human and creative craftsman. In a socio-historical reality in which everything is fluid, uncertain and insecure, the field of imagination and poetry becomes almost the refuge that allows the artist to take shelter in a hedonistic and commercial companies, where everything, every function is precisely characterized, and bribed. In this condition, he responds with works that bear "Untitled", as does Di Camillo, not only to adhere fully to the sense of uncertainty and precariousness of the current times, but also to preserve his work by any worldly temptation and utilitarian .
