'Making a Splash': David Hockney (Digital Painting & Photo Composite) - Square Edition Completely blown away by the Retrospective at Tate Britain. This has encouraged me to create this new David Hockney portrait originally started as a series of tests last year. This particular piece is an early work for a more abstracted series I'm still working on - hopefully to be completed later this year. I have used several different types of digital paint brushes and displacement effects. At this stage, the idea is to create a loosely based Hockney style digital portrait as the foundation for further experimentation. The jacket, shirt and tie are made from random photos forming a Hockney influenced photo-montage composition.
