About The Artwork
Foto of a little tree at the top of a hill near ratisbon. After several experiments, variaating the center and the radius of an anamorphic filter, I got some illusions of a flying planet with tree(s). Other variations are more spectacular, but I tried to result in a modern way of Yggdrasil, the world tree in Norse, or other life-tree in the sense of axis mundi. Although th tree at the bottom is a reflexion of the tree above, it seems bigger and could also be the root-system of a life-tree. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anamorphosis
