About The Artwork

I was walking along the side of the road, just and ordinary day in late summer when I stopped to look at a field of flowers blowing in the wind. I tried to capture the essence of the colors and rhythm they made as they swayed in the late afternoon breeze. I considered the artwork of Pierre Auguste Renoir is one of my favorite artists. His use of color, texture, and natural light as it dances off gardens and landscapes inspire me as I work through my own creative process. When I worked on this abstract painting, I felt the joy and excitement of seeing color and pattern emerge in the myopic way Renoir did as he studied the shifting morning sunlight before it vanished into the white light of the day.
