tracey cpmpleted a Ba Hons degree in Fine Art in London 1999. after graduating tracey worked from a studio in London and as an artist assistant. she went onto a period of postgraduate study at the International Glass Centre in 2006. A pivotal moment came when Tracey attended a masterclass in Turkey with an american neon artist, sparking an interest in combining noble gases and furnace blown glass. Tracey has been a masterclass assistant at the International Festival of glass in 2006 and 2008.Tracey extended her glass skills with a year at Poole College in her home town in 2008. Tracey continues to make and experiment in Dorset.

Tracey has an interest in spatial elements both sculpturally and universally. She uses the elusiveness of light to activate space which creates situations that look at issues of boundaries physically and perceptually. Inherent in the work is a focus outside the peripheries of vision encompassing elements that would not usually be acknowledged. Defining grey areas and gaps that people are often not aware of to evoke questioning. Multiple reference points are used so that your vision has to focus on several areas: this creates a series of interlocking meanings and a layering of thought. As you continue to shift your eyes new elements are noticed and incorporated into the layers of thought being built up, constantly transforming what and how you see. Light is a conecting energy
