About The Artwork
The idea of this artwork came to me three years ago. I was fascinated by the beauty, coloristic qualities and amazing texture of my own palettes. My artistic style requires very high level of organization, concentration and technological and technical preparation. Part of this process are my palettes, which three years ago I started to collect and keep on several very long scrolls - paper towels. I enjoyed them, - their scholastically unpredictability, their unplanned and unintended beauty and strange and indirect connection with the realistic paintings I was creating. For three years I was collecting all my palettes and was organizing my artistic process accordingly... The result was several long scrolls which could be arranged in many different ways. I found this composition (see the picture) most interesting and appealing. From the very beginning this piece was not intended to exist as an "artwork". Step by step I started to realize its rather unusual artistic freshness and its serious conceptual qualities...
