About The Artwork

This drawing is referencing Duchamp's glass piece "the Bride Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors, Even". After 3 years of working on my art history thesis and studying Duchamp's interest in Alchemy, i decided to create his bride finally liberated from her bachelors; the sacred marriage (the alchemical coniunctio) off the table. The stains on the paper are left as a wink to the glass break that took place in which Duchamp decided he liked it with the break as well as the Man Ray photos "Dust Breeding" of the dust that had accumulated on it
