Half dizzy every day due to the constant flow of information. Noticing that you are actually very touched by something, but due to the amount of information you no longer know what that was! So you just keep scrolling and searching and researching and responding. You let your emotions run wild because you have become overstimulated and think you still have control over them. Every now and then your body manages to allow signals to penetrate to the part of your brain where consciousness should be located. Standard signals become alarm signals and then Quick Fix solutions are introduced. If you recognize this, you may purchase this work of art. The choice of the medium of colored pencil is based more on the fact that I find it a challenge to see what I can do with regular colored pencils, rather than having to subscribe to a certain philosophy or something like that.

Born the 31 of July 1964, Stephan B. Reisig lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.Stephan B. Reisig (57) is a painter who has lately been drawing mostly with colored pencils on paper. Sometimes he uses mixed techniques like charcoal/pencil and acrylic paint on paper. The style can be described as realism with a certain aspect of alienation and depersonalization of the depicted individual which gives it an urban anonymity. In his newest series he wants to achieve to express the pureness of used materials and the pureness and directness of the depicted (human/ animal) forms trough painting. And drawing, straight on the canvas. But mostly on paper. http://www.behance.net/gallery/Illustrations-Stephan-B-Reisig/12728531 www.stephanreisig.com / www.lama-topart.nl/catalog_showdetail.asp?type_id=&cat_id=&artist_id=42&
