The work manifests itself from the migrated knowledge system of Persian Carpet to the north eastern region in India in different times for different reasons. The Persian carpet unfolds multiple socio political narratives in itself and spread through time in multiple cultures. The use of charcoal as a medium also has the significance of impermanence and dilution like migrated knowledge systems. The application of the medium on the surface involves the process of erasing which becomes the metaphorical gesture to signify the slowly fading peace and harmony of this region in time due to long term continuation of conflicts. Hence the process of creating through erasing to create the elements/ composition becomes the process of digging the histories, issues of identities and other conflicts coming through the past and sharpened in the present. The work emphasizes on the harmony by talking about the conflicts related to identity and migration and the process of the work seeks to emphasize on the fading histories and memories in time and space.
