A LEAF IB HAND - MY FIRST EXPERIENCE Drawing

Some friends of mine would walk around our fraternity house, giggling like little girls at things that didn't really seem funny to me. Joe held up canned peaches and Jay would burst into laughter. This went on for a couple of weeks...the inside joke. So I asked Jay what was going on. He talked about going places while staying at home; trips, exploration. vacations from reality. Tabs, window pane. and the '68 Christmas Acid. He asked if I would like to try some. :Not me...I don't do drugs." The following weekend. we went to Tapia Park in Northern Los Angeles. When we were 20 miles, Jay put something in his mouth and offered me one. I took it in my hand, but did not swallow it. I was really scared because I had heard stories of people going crazy on this stuff. I put it on my tongue, then secretly spit it out. Too late. 1968 was a very turbulent year. Bobby Kennedy was assassinated as was Martin Luther King Jr, It was also the year I tried LSD. DO NOT TRY LSD! I had one of the most extraordinary trips ever. I ended up doing it 18 times, with more and more fantasy artistic visions and ideas. Trips number 17 & 18 were basically the same, so I stopped using it. I had gotten whet I could from it. Joe became a top drug distributor and now lives in San Quentin Prison for life. Jay keep taking it, and when I last heard, he was in a home for the criminally insane in Arizona. Art Linkletter's daughter tried it and committed suicide. I would not do it again. DO NOT TRY LSD! If there are flowers in your head, they come out. If mice or devils, they come out. You are a little nuts? It comes out. It was a vacuum cleaner for my mind. It cleaned out a lot of dirt and awakened my artistic senses. DO NOT TRY LSD! A LEAF IN HAND is a particular leaf from Tapia Park that appeared to me to have a thumb on it. My very first experience use windowpane.
