About The Artwork
I have fascination with the urban environment and in particular the way we interact with it, my peripatetic practice animates the distinction between drawing and photography and questions the subjective nature of looking. Each work is the culmination of a continual and almost obsessive process of photographing and re photographing specific places from the same location over an extended period of time. My aim is to opens up dialogues with those places, taking a sequence of isolated moments and allows people to seek new relationships across different planes of reality within a single image.

Mehrdad Bordbar (b.1983 ) MA in multidisciplinary printmaking University of the West of England BA at University of the West of England in Drawing and Applied Arts with a First Class Honours.(2007-2010) During this period he received the Vice- Chancellors Purchase Prize for drawing. Since he graduated in 2010 He has participates in many projects and exhibitions nationally and internationally. His work selected for number of competitions in the UK such as Jerwood drawing prize and London international creative competition (2011) His work is held in private and public collections in the UK.USA and other European countries.
