What does quote mean? What does a quotation do? And, most of all, what does a quotation quote? This is what the series of works "Still Waiting For a Spatial Concept" try to depict. "Writing history..." - Walter Benjamin said - “means quote history”. That is exactly what this work intends to investigate – half way between painting and sculpture, two- dimensional and three-dimensional – that really seems to host in itself an objective recalcitrance in being absorbed in a present that, nevertheless, never stops pointing at them. In particular the work draws its existence from the renowned series of works by Lucio Fontana, ironically pointing to the lack of the "New now" in contemporary art.
