The fleeting edge

'The Fleeting Edge' series is a collection of works of charcoal on paper, resulted from an exploration and expression of a moment when the animal energy within, after a long period of contention, needs to be released - expressing itself by meeting the surface of the paper board with a soft material as charcoal, that cracks and scratches in between the hands and the surface. As a harsh scratch on the skin, this energy express through the works a mix of aggression and fragility, anger and gentleness, revealing the delicacy and vulnerability of the edge between animal and human within ourselves. 2017
