Modern Knights in (not-just-shining) armour

6 half-length sculptures for 6 classic literary Knights revisited—modern knights embarking on epic quests: the remains of the armour hint at the human presence inside, and become sign of a universal Quest for identity. Ariosto's knights are all wandering in search for someone. Cervantes' Don Quixote in his stupor of chivalric delusion fights his own demons within himself. The warrior ghost of King Hamlet appears to his hesitant son, the Prince of Denmark. They all unfold a spiritual quality in their quests, the same as shown in Tao Tê Ching by Lao-Tzu. About void and letting go: “30 spokes share the wheel's hub; (but) it is the center hole that makes it useful. /Shape clay into a vessel: still, it is the space within that makes it useful.”
