En plein air

A cycle of landscapes painted in the summer of 1979. Together with a very young painter, then my friend, we toured the Molise far and wide, visiting historic sites, farmhouses, castles and countryside. Taking a leap of a hundred years backwards in time: we painted "en plein air", like Gauguin and van Gogh in Brittany; as we talked about art and life, and often we had very fierce comparisons .... Nothing new perhaps, but (at least for us) a very useful experience! PS.There are also other landscapes painted "En plein air" in previous years and in those successes to the "historical" years, which have the same spirit.
