Old postcards are manipulated and re-contextualised through the application of writing, scribbling, incisions and paint. Printed reproductions of objects familiar in the Christian community are transferred onto these images of church architecture and arranged in a way that these would achieve sexually suggestive qualities and erotic symbolism. Focuse is put on the tension between Christian imposed rules and behaviour and the primitive, instinctive nature of human beings. This act of subversion and transgression is also mimicked in the process as culturally informed objects are vandalized and defaced beyond repair.
