Sandpaper Seascapes

3M have been generous in their support in providing varieties of sandpaper for my artworks. For this series I used several different grades, or ‘grits’, in a range of colours to create sandpaper seascapes where sky, water, and land are formed by different papers and then painted. The interfaces between these three elements are where natural attrition takes place, with a constant process changing the nature of each. This series has been donated to 3M Abrasives Systems Division, Ratcliffe Road, Atherstone, Warwickshire, UK. CV9 1PJ
