The Seven Sister of the Pleiades is the Golden Gate of the Universe, the gate to the divine. The Universe - circle triangle square “The circle-triangle-square is the Sengai’s picture of the universe. The circle represents the infinite, and the infinite is at the basis of all beings. But the infinite itself is formless. We humans endowed with senses and intellect demand tangible forms. hence, the triangle. The triangle is the beginning of all forms. Out of it first comes the square. The square is the triangle doubled. This doubling process goes on infinitely and we have the multitudinosity go things, which the Chinese philosopher call’s ‘the ten thousand things’, that is, the universe. With the symbolic mentioned above in my painting and the reference to the star system of the Pleiades, the Golden Gate, as well as with my choice of light and aery colors, I want the owner of this painting to feel connected to the divine source of the universe in peace and calmness content being able to mediated within and rejecting that beautiful loving energy without.
