He often depicts tropical and beach scenes, as well as mythological and historical subjects. Fun Facts about Alexey: - He was denied entry to the Fine Art Academy in the USSR several times because his art was not in line with the Communist Ideology. He had to study art on his own and hide his paintings from the authorities. - He appeared in some movies and TV shows as a minor character, even though he was not a professional actor. His most notable role was Adolf Hitler (uncredited) in a Canadian TV show. - He discovered that he was related to Baron von Rothschild, a famous banker and philanthropist, through a DNA test. He was surprised and amused by this revelation.
