Analog radiography negative. Over the past hundred years, humans have been repeatedly facing to the destructive action of radiation. This is the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, numerous nuclear weapons testing, the Chernobyl accident and Fukushima-1. The peculiarity of the ionising radiation is that it penetrates the matter, accumulates and changes the nature of the matter. Radiation is impossible to feel, but it's hard to hide from it. Krolikowski Art duo is using X-rays for creation the series of radiographic images of food that was produced close to the exclusion zone. There are fruits and vegetables from Polesia. People living near the scene of Chernobyl explosion don't always know whether the food is dangerous, how it was grown. The delicious food may be harmful to the human body. In this project the artists use simple and direct images to show the beauty and the deadly force of nature which the man has decided to conquer and to put on the service of humanity. But it's impossible to conquer the force of nature, and a man has to fight the demon who was awakened by him. Combining the syncretic approach and romantic conceptualism, the duo becomes the priest of the radioactive temple. After radiographic ceremony they ate those sacred gifts intended for the Nuclear God. https://www.facebook.com/krolikowskiart/photos/a.598846113462199.1073741829.598687490144728/1281262808553856/?type=3&theater
