About The Artwork
This 6x8 Composition features a bouquet of wildflowers including red poppies and purple irises in a vase. The flowers are sketched out in ultramarine blue wax crayon and then painted with bright, vibrant gouache paint. I went with a bold chartreuse green background on this piece as I am currently utterly obsessed with this vivid acidic yellow green color. The painting is varnished and was pained on cradled board with unpainted pine edges (see images for details). It will ship, wrapped in acid-free glassine and padding, in a box from my home studio in Oakland, California.
