About The Artwork

Vietnamese school girls in ao dai on the ancient square! In my opinion, Fine arts is the way connected to spiritual cosmos and realistic life. It always reflects the consiousness world of an artist on the surface of canvas via colors, shapes, lining figures, etc. My art is picking-up from the real life with far-away dreams of a pure universe embedded in everybody's memory... With main purpose of only using a few colors, minimum concised lay-out and characters in order to express the maximum expressiveness and create one new view about realistic world. Each Vietnamese person knows a sentence of the song: “Where ever you all go, still missing Hanoi”. Because Hanoi has 36 ancient streets, the Red River carrying the alluvium heavily, the old bridge of Long Bien leaning over its reflection, the echo of the church’s bell, small pavement shops, and four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. This place always has a unique and characteristic beauty: hidden behind the modern city, we still find the antiquity: the mossy roofs of old houses, opened windows with delicate patterns, rows of old trees, etc. These are the proofs of a pompous, elegant Hanoi, an ancient capital. The student girls in the white Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) represent the Hanoian - not only elegant but also gentle and decent. They are also the symbol of our youth, our beautiful and unforgettable school years...
