This atmospheric etude was done on a very controversial, sunny but windy plein air day on the lovely Mt Maunganui beach, New Zealand. The wind was so extreme and the waves were so dramatic that I was thrilled to capture all raging energy in this art piece so it can breathe solty and powerfully on its own.
