About The Artwork

This is another painting of mine that was created by my awareness of artists that I studied and admired for their energy, passion and application of materials and technique that individually and collectively impacted the history and evolution of the visual arts. As someone devoted to the Arts, I cannot disconnect or deny the history of artists that have lived before me in time. Artists who have lived in their time have historically transformed the artistic vocabulary of our American kinetic culture. In my quest to express my self in my art form, applying my diversity of style, theme, color, line and technique, I choose not to avoid or escape the emotional and artistic footprints of past artists who have challenged the status quo of their time and journeyed beyond what is good, bad or acceptable to leave their artistic legacy. What makes my artwork original and one of a kind is the skill and energy I have invested in this work as I explore ‘the dance of paint revisited’.
