It is perched on the mountain but also offers a lot to tourists who visit it. It is bathed by the streams of Agrò and Savoca and is a town of art included in the circuit of "The most beautiful villages in Italy".

Andrea Platania, born in 1964, in Catania to a housewife mother and an upholsterer father. As a child he demonstrated skills for technical drawing, so much so that his father and mother tempt him for studies in architecture. Andrea, however, chooses technical studies in the field of information technology. Then working, in the Information Services department, at a pharmaceutical multinational for 33 years, covering various roles. After three years of "Inner Labor", in conjunction with isolation for Covid-19 (2020) he decides to change register, returning to the advice of the parents, and of the wife; devoting himself completely to painting. AndyPlat is the art name which Andrea signs his paintings today.
