This deep cradled painting on birch board can be hung as is or framed for display. It features a bouquet of irises in a bottle vase adorned with a playful lion design. The background is a whirl of greens resulting in the overall sense of a painterly messel green aka my favorite color. A fun note on the color, from Taylor Tripp Landscape Design: "The colour green is a strong theme of Barbadian gardens. Messel green to be precise. Oliver Messel was an influential designer of properties in Barbados during the 1960s, both interiors and exteriors. He produced a particular colour green, which is seen in many properties still today on the island."
