About The Artwork
The Enso is a continuous brush stroke representing when the mind is free to let the body create. I've been creating this motion and symbol in my work long before I knew about this tradition in Japanese brush painting. A collector of mine drew this comparison, but I love that the themes and ideologies overlapped with my work so naturally. I hope when you see this symbol in my work you feel a similar sense of mental ease.
