Cul de Sac Palm, 2022 Print

I find the nature spots in my local streets and suburbs. When I walk my dogs, i take my paints, Palm trees represent holiday, the coast, the beach and relaxation. This palm is at the end of the cul de sac where the dogs love to come for a walk, these trees become beacons of stability, hope, freindship and those ideals of relaxation amid the regular rigors of life. I start with a sketch in pencil, a few colours a small book and tanslate that in the studio to oil paint, remembering the love of the dogs, the sunshine, the time outdoors, my home , its a celebration of gratitude, art, line, drawing and light.
