I only had a blurry photo of the old house I grew up in. As one of the youngest children I can't realistically remember a scene like this. The beauty of painting is that it allows me to create a memory in vivid color that looks real and share it with the world. Now any family member can look at this scene and a false memory is implanted and becomes as real as any other.
