About The Artwork

The name of the picture is ‘Based on a true story”. It is inspired form the countless possibilities of the acrylic paint. As you can see the picture is broke into hundreds of different pieces of paint. The pieces are made neither on the canvas, nor the palette but on different surface, then unstick and put on the canvas. For me this is not a collage because I only use paint. The idea is that the whole world is divided into completely different tiny pieces of everything. This picture was part of a solo exhibition named “Pieces”. Here is a fraction of the concept: ‘… Everything gathers in your head and spills into pieces. Delicately, studiously until dawn, you are busy sticking pieces of the old world into the new world just hatched, one newly built body. A piece is a part of the whole and the purpose of the epicentre is to break in order to gather, and to gather in order to spill, to transcend into another space, another fluidity, another crossing point. Everything has been different before it becomes close, or yours, or mine.’
