About The Artwork

Drawn lines and their movement on a surface have always fascinated me. The inspiration for this composition originates from this fascination. Lines that intersect, and create relationships of borders or frontiers that define direction interspersed with textured, fluid, granular blobs of diverse colors that inhabit a surface design that is in motion, challenging the notion and concept of balance or rest or immobility. The warmer background color suggests some continuity of an internal background environment, in contradiction to the speed of the angular lines and rush of colors on the uppermost surface areas that exchange connection and contrast of design. In this context I was offered the choice and opportunity to sign my name twice in contradictory direction and visibility, both occupying horizontal and vertical positions.
