Portrait of a teacher was inspired by teachers, matisse lithographs, etchings, and contour line drawings. I wanted portrait of teacher to portray a put together and in control teacher. A teacher who will be nice if you behave and give you the evil eye if you don't. She runs her own little kingdom.

I am a multi-media artist from Oro Valley, Arizona. I graduated from Texas Woman's University in spring of 1992 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. I also have a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. My art work is an ongoing exploration of life and the world which surrounds me. I have always been fascinated with finding new ways of depicting emotions and moods through my use of line, movement, and texture. Creating art work is like a puzzle that I am constantly trying to solve.
