Lotus Blossom was inspired by traditional Japanese illustrations, Geishas, the orient, and pop art. I wanted to merge traditional Japanese illustration with Pop Art in this portrait. Lotus Blossom is a fun portrait of a modern day Geisha. Lotus Blossom is not shy or guarded and she is ready to conquer the world one blossom at a time.

I am a multi-media artist from Oro Valley, Arizona. I graduated from Texas Woman's University in spring of 1992 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. I also have a Master’s in Bilingual Education from Southern Methodist University. My art work is an ongoing exploration of life and the world which surrounds me. I have always been fascinated with finding new ways of depicting emotions and moods through my use of line, movement, and texture. Creating art work is like a puzzle that I am constantly trying to solve.
