CANDY HEARTS Print

The work is based on a traditional form of silkscreen that I have adapted to a new process that is patent pending. The image is unusual in that it is traditionally silkscreened but with a specially designed recipe paint medium that recreates the texture, look, and feel of chalky candy hearts. Each one has its own personality of texture, just like the real Candy Hearts candy. The text echos the fun of the original Candy Hearts Candy. Each Candy Heart painting is on a 16-inch square professional-grade wooden stretched gessoed canvas with a wooden spline inlay, 1.5-inch depth. Another layer of shimmery transparent shadow creates the 3-D effect. They have a power when you see them live far more than photographed. NOTE: DETAILS are listed s a separate file here to show the chalky texture and subtle transparent glaze shadow. It is a three-stage printing process. NOTE: FRAMES are just suggestions.
