BLACK FEATHER - Ode to Women's History Day Print

Ode to WOMENS HISTORY DAY Black Feather and Ink Well. Education spurs intellect which inspires change and innovation. Woman of great importance throughout history are numerous, from Marie Curie to Mary Shelly... most if not all had the Red Thread of education and that starts with the written word. I tried to come up with a single image that would represent power, female sexuality in form and repression in the way that our history has treated women in general .... The pink I think stigmatises and represents repression of the modern woman's identity however using a Black feather and Ink Well, eludes to power and non conformity of tradition. The combination suggests intellect and in keeping with the female form and female lines, undeniably Woman.
