The Latin word "crepitus" means "a cracking or creaking sound." This word is derived from the Latin verb "crepare," which means "to crack" or "to creak." In Latin literature, "crepitus" was often used to describe the sound of thunder, the cracking of bones, or the creaking of doors or furniture. For example, the Roman poet Virgil used the word in his epic poem "The Aeneid" to describe the sound of lightning striking a mountain peak, while the Roman philosopher Seneca used it in his writings to describe the sound of a joint being manipulated. Today, the word "crepitus" is still used in scientific and medical contexts to describe various types of sounds, such as the crackling sound heard when the lungs are inflamed or the creaking sound heard when joints are moved. The term "crepitus" is also used in certain industries, such as construction and engineering, to describe the sound of structures or materials under stress. In addition to its literal meaning, "crepitus" has also been used metaphorically to describe the sound of tension or conflict. For example, the term "crepitus dentium" (the grinding of teeth) has been used to describe the sound of anger or frustration.

Born with a passion for color and shape, Candice has always been drawn to the endless possibilities of the art form. As a child, she would spend hours exploring the colors and textures of the world around her, seeking inspiration in every corner of her environment. For Candice, gradients are a powerful tool for telling a story. By blending colors and shapes together in subtle and unexpected ways, they create a sense of movement and flow that draws the viewer in and invites them to explore an underlying story. By using gradients to represent the subtle shifts and changes in atmosphere, she is able to capture the depth and complexity of human relationships in a way that is both beautiful and compelling.
