About The Artwork

The picture is a postcard of the Aula Magna of the University of Ferrara. The classroom is empty. Apparently. Christ alone. At the end of the Chamber. Almost punishment on the cross. That his place. A look at all from up there. But the Aula Magna is empty . There is no one to pray or who has no fear of him. He is finally free from our eyes, from the claims, by the prayers. He is always placed in the middle. Even in the art, there are crucifixes everywhere. It ' a continuous pain and suffering. But all silent and dumb. Ferrara has been a land Catholic and still is. Our culture is fundamentally compromised by the Italian Catholicism, deviated from it. The state declares itself secular layman but it is needless for nothing. There are crucifixes everywhere, even in the universities, to remember the pain and suffering. But if the pain and suffering that is not exclusively ours?... Grew up in the crucifix shots in the eye as you can have a nice view? you happiness? For Christ, in this case, yes. He enjoys. And then also we can.

I was born in the West, too early. What make beautiful and important this historical period that I ‘ve lived until this moment are three events:having studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with Enzo Brunori, some moments of happiness and the tenderness of my lovely dog. My poetry is founded on the words of Aristotele: "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts." And it is totalitarian. I often you are what you do and you do what you are. I painted many cities and maps (the same city, Ferrara beautiful, timeless, metaphysical, silent, magical) and animals and landscapes. I explore the absence, loss, emptiness. I consider the single man without putting him on the scene. My themes are nature and culture. Art is my job. I owe a lot to William Shakespeare. I paint my work on both the front and the back. The back is to me as the intimate and everyday life, things that are not seen but they belong to the whole life. And it's like to have to deal with the invisible. So art is one with life, and life is one with the art.
